Welcome to the last Premier League matchweek for this season. It was a crazy season unlike any other and teams didn’t see any fans until the last couple of weeks. The champion got decided a while ago but the TOP four battle is still going strong. Leicester took a huge step back in the last round as they lost to Chelsea who in turn took their spot on the table. Liverpool then won their fixture and the Foxes who have been sitting in the TOP four during the whole season are now 5th. On top of that, the Europa League battle is still active as well. The Spurs lost in the last round while the Hammers as well as the Toffees won their games. West Ham now need only a point in the last round to finish 6th while the Spurs have to win to finish 7th.
Since the TOP four is still wide open, Bitcoin Betting will be extremely popular in the last round. Below, we will review the three fixtures that could make a huge impact on the final standings. First, we have Aston Villa hosting Chelsea in a game that the London Blues have to win or risk losing their UCL spot. Next, we have Liverpool who have their fate in their hands. They host Palace on Sunday and with a win, their TOP four spot is guaranteed. Last but not least, we have the Foxes hosting the Spurs. This is a game that’s extremely important for both sides as both teams really need to win come Sunday. Leicester are fighting for a TOP four finish while the Spurs are hoping for any kind of European football. For more Premier League news, head over to their official website.

Aston Villa vs Chelsea
Following a dramatic comeback victory last time out, inconsistent Aston Villa have won as many as they’ve lost across their previous five Premier League (PL) matches (W2, D1, L2), but are assured of an 11th place finish no matter what. In any case, we could be in for plenty of goals here given that Villa’s last nine league games have averaged 3.22 goals. Villa Park has not been a happy home for the hosts who’ve won just one of their last eight league games there (D3, L4), this includes failures to win three of their last four despite scoring first (D1, L2). But although Dean Smith’s men start as underdogs, they boast the third-best PL win-rate when doing so (W7, D2, L8).
It is crunch time for Chelsea who must win here if they are to hold onto their top-four spot. They’ll be confident given that they bounced back from consecutive 1-0 defeats to overcome Leicester City in midweek, but their less than remarkable win rate of 51.61% as PL favorites does not inspire confidence that this will be a formality (W16, D9, L6). This has been the first campaign across England’s top-four tiers that has seen more away wins (150) than home wins (137) and Chelsea are great contributors to this after going eight PL away games without loss (W6, D2). Moreover, the ‘Blues’ kept three clean sheets from their last five PL trips and six of their ten PL away wins came ‘to nil’.
Chelsea did a fantastic job in the last round when they won against the Foxes. However, they are still not out of the woods. They need a win against Villa in the last round because if Leicester get all three points on Sunday, Chelsea will not finish TOP four. On the other hand, Villa found their form again, right at the end. With Grealish back, they beat Tottenham in the last one and will look to ruin Chelsea’s season by beating them as well. First time they met this season, the game finished 1:1 which means anything could happen on Sunday. For that reason, we are backing a Both Teams to Score outcome @ 1.82 odds.
Aston Villa vs Chelsea
Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur
The Foxes, after spending 30 of 37 gameweeks in the top four, no longer control their Champions League destiny. In an FA Cup final repeat, a 2-1 midweek loss at Chelsea was their ninth Premier League (PL) defeat from 11 this season in which they conceded first, but here they have the chance to do the league double over Tottenham for the first time since 1998/99 after winning the reverse 2-0 – albeit they’ve won just two of six home league H2Hs since returning to the PL in 2014/15 (D1, L3). Their 2-4 loss at home vs Newcastle last time out here gave other top-four contenders hope, although the ‘Foxes’ remain the only team in the top eight not to have dropped points when winning at HT on home soil (W6). Whilst needing to start quickly for goal difference purposes, they’ve netted a league-high 12 home goals after the 75th minute.
Tottenham, on the other hand, are fighting for the last Europa League place, but could end the season as low as ninth, which would be their lowest finish since ending in 11th back in 2007/08. A 1-2 loss to Villa (May 19) was their ninth league defeat of 2021 already, one more than the entirety of 2020. Spurs have traveled poorly of late, winning two of their last seven PL road trips (W2, D2, L3). However they have netted between minutes 15-30 in four straight away league outings, making Tottenham the division’s highest away scorers during this time period (seven). Tottenham are looking to end this awful season which will become even worse if they don’t finish 7th. The Conference league is not much but its a way to get to the Europa League which is definitely better than not playing in Europe at all.
The is probably the one fixture that is impossible to predict. Both sides need a win, Leicester to get TOP four and Tottenham to finish 6th. However, they also need other things to go their way too. Leicester need either Liverpool or Chelsea to drop points while the Spurs need the Hammers to lose. Additionally, Tottenham need to win to stay 7th because Everton could take their spot. All in all, this is game that could go either way. With that being said, we are backing an Over 2.75 Goals outcome @ 1.73 odds.
Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur
Liverpool vs Crystal Palace
Barring an unforeseeable set of circumstances, victory for Liverpool will guarantee them a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League. The ‘Reds’ should be confident, as they are the only Premier League (PL) side unbeaten across the last nine gameweeks (W7, D2), while they’ve also won each of their previous four PL season finales by a 2+ goal margin. On top of scoring in the 31st-45th minute segment in five of their last six PL matches, Jürgen Klopp’s men have also fixed their home form, avoiding defeat in each of their previous five competitive games at Anfield (W3, D2). Three of those came in the league (W2, D1), and each of that trio threw up late drama, with a goal scored in or after the 90th minute.
After a remarkable managerial career stretching 45 years, boyhood Crystal Palace fan Roy Hodgson will oversee his final game on the touchline. A happy ending may not be forthcoming though, given that Palace have lost seven straight PL meetings vs Hodgson’s former club Liverpool, with an aggregate scoreline of 22-5 against them. The ‘Eagles’ have also won on just one of their previous five PL road trips (W1, D1, L3), despite going in level or winning at HT in all (HT: W2, D3), and scoring first in each of the previous three. They’ve also won just one away game vs a team currently above them in the table (W1, D3, L7).
Liverpool fans were forced to accept the fact that their team won’t play in the UCL next season. However, things changed in a heartbeat, as the Reds connected four wins in a row. Thanks to other teams dropping points, Liverpool are now in a great position to finish in the TOP four. The only thing they have to do is win on Sunday against Crystal Palace. Their opponents don’t really have anything to play for but they will surely love to ruin Liverpool’s day. With that being said, we are backing a Home Side Victory & Over 3.5 Goals outcome @ 2.02 odds.
